Story numero uno

Well I decided for this story I will talk about my favorite baseball tournament I've ever played in. Most people are all "Oh, I've gone to St. George to play in some tournament." Then I'm thinking, so has everybody else in the state. Well not many people can say they've gone across the COUNTRY to play in a baseball tournament. That's right, your eyes aren't playing tricks on you. I went all the way to Cooperstown, New York to play in a baseball tournament. The thing I hate about the state of Utah is that hardly anyone has even heard of Cooperstown. Where as every little boy in this country dreams about there. Cooperstown, New York-the birthplace and home of baseball. AMERICA'S PASTIME, America's favorite sport. Maybe not Utah's favorite but America's favorite. Well we didn't do too well in the first six games, only winning one. But those games were for seeding. Of the 103 teams that were there we were seeded at 81. Then came the real thing the playoffs, sort of. First we played the 80th seed. We beat them by three. Then we played the Texas Rebels. They were ranked 62nd. It was a hard fought game full of ANNOYING fans and huge plays and at bats. It also had some injury. We sadly lost that game but it was only by one. One of are players got a minor concussion when he got hit in the head while batting. Me, I walked away with a bruise the size of a baseball on my head and a purple pinky that was almost twice the size of my other pinky it was so swollen. What had happened was that well in one half inning this all happened. First I saw the hardest, fastest, most breaking circle change up in my entire life. A circle change is like a regular change up, slow. Except a circle change goes straight then in the last couple feet just drops. Well when I saw this coming right at my head I imediately thought-fastball. So I ducked thinking it would go right over my head. But it turned out to be a circle change and BAM!!! Right in the ear. Because of the minor concussion the other kid had, my coach wouldn't let me get up for a while. No matter how many times I tried. Then the next batter hit a short pop fly to the second baseman. Well normaly I would have gotten back to first before they could turn a double play on me. Except this time my first base coach was confusing me by talking to the player on third. That's kinda what the third base coach is for. So I got out and also the first baseman stepped on my pinky (just in case you can't figure this out, that's how I injured my pinky.) I'm just going to say I'm lucky they didn't allow metal cleats at the tournament. That would've hurt a lot. So basically that's how my baseball tournament went.

  1. Hey, this is Logan. There are no real requirements to go to Cooperstown, you just have to be willing to pay for the whole team to fly across the states. It's just another tournament(with about 100 people) that's not even guaranteed to have competitive teams. The teams could all be local little league teams who want to play in a tournament. The only real reason you can even hope for competition is the fact that most people have to travel great distances to get there.
